Congratulation to Juan Sanchez on his signing to Southern Nazarene University.

Juan has been running since 7th grade at Santa Fe South. On Tuesday, May 15th, Juan signed a Cross Country full ride scholarship to SNU. Juan never imagined he would ever receive a scholarship for cross country.

He ran in middle school and excelled.  When he got to high school, he didn’t want to run anymore he said, “I am not going to be running in the sun for fun.” But then his junior year, he was going to play football and things didn’t work out so Brewster asked him to join Cross Country. With two days of practice, he sent him off to a meet and Juan did pretty well. By the time state came, he was hitting 18 flat all summer he ran and fell in love with sport again.

We would like to congratulate Juan Snachez and wish him the best at SNU.
