OKCPS- Native American Student Services hosted the Senior Honor Banquet for Native American students graduating in Class of 2018 in the Oklahoma City district. The event was to celebrate graduates for the majority graduating this year. A large percentage of Native American students carry dropout rates but the purpose of this honor banquet was to let people know that this is not what Native Americans students are known for. The students are grateful for this opportunity and ready to graduate.

The meaning of the stole is to represent Native heritage and showing pride. Meet Katlyn Quach and William Jabbar, seniors at Santa Fe South High School. They were given a Native American graduation stole to represent their Native culture during the graduation commencement ceremony.
