This year, STUCO (Student Council) takes a large amount of leaders.

An interview was required to get in which helped Mrs. Severson get to know more about the candidates. She is ready to show appreciation to the new students and staff, raise spirit, and plan some great service projects for the school community.

At the beginning of the STUCO meetings, candidates are to vote on the new Secretary, Officer, and the President position for the year. Severson leans on them heavily in order to make all of the events happen efficiently.

Some of the open activities that this group will be taking leadership upon is Spring Homecoming, Mini Pep Rallies, STUCO Exchange, Staff Appreciation & Picnics, and Tamborazo! This group has meetings during lunch to plan and have school activities during the school day as well.

Severson is most excited about showing the standards of Integrity and leading by example. She said, “I want them to hold each other accountable and lead the school in establishing a FAMILY atmosphere.”
