Not only is it a new season but there is also a new coach, Coach Alisha Dupuis.

This is her first year teaching Environmental Science and coaching track at Santa Fe South. Although, she has taught for three years and coached for five. Coach Dupuis has had plenty of experience in Track & Field. Not only did she go to state 3 times for the disc in high school, but she has also coached various athletes who have made it to state.

During the off season, the athletes have been doing a lot of training, from tons of cardio to weightlifting. While getting ready for the season, Coach Dupuis’ main focus is getting her athletes in tip top shape and ready to compete. Her overall goal for the season is to have 10 to 15 make it to state.

We wish good luck to all track and field athletes!
