This will be the 29th Annual Chili Pepper Festival. The race is held at the University of Arkansas. This year they are hosting approximately 6,500 runners. Around 80 colleges and 120 high schools take part of this race every year. They hold a 10k and 5k that is open to the public. They also have the 10k for men’s college and the 5k for women’s college. High school and Junior High boys and girls all run a 5k. Each race contains 400+ runners.

This Friday, September 29th our Cross Country team will be traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas. This will be the teams sixth year going. It will be an overnight trip. Both boys and girls varsity will be participating in the Chili Pepper race that takes place on September 30th. They will be leaving early Friday morning. In past years they left as soon as school was over. This time they decided they wanted more time to bond as a team. As a result they will start their journey to Arkansas earlier. They have planned a picnic and other fun events. We wish our boys and girls a safe trip and hope they do well!
