Community Service Opportunities!!

Are you a senior this year and in desperate need of community service???

Mrs. Grant, our Senior Seminar teacher, has tons of opportunities. She has a remind group that you can sign up for to get alerts and important updates through text messages about community service opportunities. To sign up for Mrs.Grant’s remind group about these opportunities just text “@c9a46f” to 81010. Here is a list of a few volunteer opportunities:

  • Love OKC – is a nonprofit organization that gives out groceries, food and family portraits and they need students to help with that. They need volunteers, Saturday, August 19 from 9 am-2 pm. To sign up you can go to their website and fill out a form.  
  • Fiesta De Las Americas – September 30th see Mrs.Grant to sign up.
  • Fiestas Patrias – September 17th from 1 pm-10 pm at Plaza Mayor sign up with Tracey Medina at  [email protected]
  • Food Bank – All year long are looking for volunteers.
  • Almonte Library – Is looking for students to read to kids the first Wednesday of every month from 5 pm-7 pm. You can sign up on their website, go to “Support Your Library” then click “Volunteer at the Library” and sign up for the reading program. 
  • Tutoring at SFSE –  Tutoring at Santa Fe South Elementary every Wednesday night for more details private message Dimitri Wortham on Facebook.
  • Teen Service Board for Youth Services of Oklahoma County – They are looking for members to help educate, intervene, and counsel other students and families. To apply see Mrs.Grant for an application.

These community service opportunities are not just for seniors, meaning anyone can apply for them!
