On Friday April 14th, the Santa Fe South Saints soccer team played the Homecoming game against the Harding Charter Prep Eagles. The boys’ and girls’ team have anticipated for this game since the season began. Everyone’s family and friends came out to support them. This year both teams want to make it the best season and win a State Championship.

The girls’ were having a tough game and had very scary moments when the other team would approach the SFS goal. In the end, the Lady Saints had a shot off and got the only goal in the game.

Before the boys’ game, the homecoming court came onto the field and the nominees were introduced by name and their fondest memory of high school. Following, the 2017 Homecoming King and Queen were announced: Sixto Balderas and Kimberly Garcia.

The boys’ had a great game and beat the Eagles. The final score of the game was 9-0. Both teams gave it their all for the 80 minutes they played, therefore getting a clean slate for the night and once again beat Harding. We wish best of luck to both teams and for them to have a great season!
